Medical balloon components | Standard and custom
Select a compliant, semi-compliant or non-compliant platform, then refine the material, geometry and performance targets with our engineering team.
01 / Compliance platforms
Compliance is only one design axis. Material, wall profile, geometry, inflation conditions and the surrounding device architecture should be reviewed together.
Maximum adaptability
Designed for applications that benefit from a softer, more conformable response as inflation pressure increases.
Balanced response
A practical middle ground when the design requires controlled expansion with more conformity than a non-compliant platform.
Dimensional control
Built for applications that prioritize defined geometry and limited diameter growth across the intended pressure range.
02 / Specialty constructions
Solvent-cast polyurethane is available for programs requiring a PU construction and application-specific balloon characteristics.
Implantable constructions are available in PU or Dacron®. Material suitability, documentation and final requirements are confirmed for the specific program.
03 / Off-the-shelf availability
Use the dimensions below to identify a starting point. Confirm the finished profile, working length, pressure requirements and interface geometry before ordering.
04 / Custom development
Custom balloons can be developed around the device architecture instead of forcing the application into a standard configuration. The program can extend from product and process design through cleanroom component assembly, process development, and validation planning under the agreed project scope.
Balloon OD, working length, neck dimensions, transitions and mating shaft interfaces.
Target softness, compliance behavior and inflation characteristics for the intended use.
Burst targets, pressure conditions, wall profile and the planned verification approach.
Bonding method, handling, packaging, cleanliness and production-volume requirements.
Recommended RFQ inputs
05 / Qualification boundary
Final suitability depends on the full device design, inflation medium, pressure cycle, interfaces, sterilization method, intended use and customer validation.
Implantability, biocompatibility, cleanliness, shelf life and regulatory documentation apply only when specifically confirmed in the approved quotation, drawing, certificate or quality agreement.
